About Leftee

Leftee is the lead singer and drummer of ThreePeace a pioneering reggae rock and alternative rock band from Michigan known for their infectious grooves, socially conscious lyrics, and genre-blending fusion of roots, rock, and rhythm.

Leftee and longtime collaborator Big R began their musical partnership in the 1980s, building a loyal regional following with their fearless blend of reggae, rock, and soul-infused songwriting. After a long hiatus and surviving two separate near-death experiences that deeply transformed their lives they reformed in 2004 as ThreePeace, launching a creative renaissance that would define their modern legacy.

Over the years, ThreePeace released five studio albums, a Greatest Hits collection, and the critically acclaimed vinyl live album The Positive Vibration Session. Their socially charged song “Prince William Sound”, inspired by the devastating Alaska oil spill, became a powerful catalyst for building a devoted fanbase in Alaska. This momentum was fueled by repeated features on Alaska’s iconic KUAC-FM Round Midnight Rhythm Show, where ThreePeace shared airwaves with legendary artists like Bob Marley, Bob Seger, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, Yupik and Inuit Eskimos and more, a testament to the band’s deep roots in authentic storytelling and musical integrity. In 2008, their track “A Little Reggae Rock” earned ThreePeace a spot on the MySpace Music Calendar, boosting their reach during the digital indie surge. ThreePeace’s music also broadcast extensively across Alaska and into Eastern Russia through KUAC-FM’s extended repeater network, connecting with audiences far beyond Michigan.

Beyond ThreePeace, Leftee has expanded his artistic footprint with performances alongside the funk-rock band The Tectonics, live shows with The Happy Curmudgeons, and his experimental solo venture, The Lef-Tweed Project, blending funk, blues, reggae, and improvisational rock into a genre-defying sound.
